Lock-in that citrus flavour

My ability to send emails on my dumb phone was halted by Orange on Friday. They had changed the process for logging into their SMTP server without notifying customers like me. Whereas before you just pointed your outbox at smtp.orange.net, now you need to get an orange email address to use it, even if you don't use Orange as your email provider.

Orange in common with most consumer ISPs force you to use their SMTP server, as they block access to other providers.

If you have similar problems then call the Orange customer services people on 156 from your handset.

Also is it me or has their website architecture gone down the pan since they have been crashed into Wanadoo?
