Toyota-isation - Deserts surfaces that contain microscopic lichen, algae and other particles are being disrupted as everyone (whose anyone) in the North Africa, the South West United States and the Middle East have given up their camels for Toyota Landcruisers. This has meant that the amount of dust that is picked up by storms has increased massively and may become a widespread hazard to the environment and people's health according to Oxford professor Andrew Goudie. But on the plus side we'll have amazing blood red sunsets. Goudie's comments were written about in UK newspaper The Independenthere.
