Gemplus Armageddon

I was shopping away at the Clinque counter in Debenhams when I was confronted by a keypad and chip card reading machine. The shop assistant and I got talking and I asked her how many people knew their PIN to their credit card, she replied that almost everyone she speaks to is as clueless about their PIN as I am. This probably means that in the normally hectic period during the run up to Christmas, credit card companies are likely to be swamped with requests for their PIN in time for the roll out of EMV migration in the new year. This will then be passed on to the card services firms like Gemplus..... Printers, start your engines....
